Your goal is to generate energy and expand through the solar system. You start on Earth and click to manufacture energy. Future energy production is going to be spent on upgrades and unlocking new planets.

Once you have built up enough energy on Earth, you will be able to unlock Mars, and when you have finished playing Earth and Mars, you will then be able to unlock Venus. Each planet introduces new mechanics and sources of energy. Mars adds nuclear power and alien technology. Then we arrive at our final planet, Venus, which adds lava power and the mysterious 'Future Technology' upgrade that is the strongest tool in the game.
